Ashley and Taroon got married. Twice. First, at Case Western Reserve University’s Harkness Chapel, and again, in the grotto at Manakiki.
Paying homage to their individual cultures, Ashley and Taroon had a beautiful western wedding ceremony at Harkness Chapel. They said their vows on the wooden stage, and exited through cheers and bubbles. After a few family photos, we walked over to the Cleveland Botanical Garden for some fun wedding party photos. As always, the Botanical Garden was lush and verdant; the perfect setting for wedding photos.
We wrapped up at the Garden, and headed to Manakiki for the second ceremony of the day: an Indian wedding ceremony in the lovely grotto. Taroon’s brothers led the groomsmen and the rest of the wedding guests in traditional Indian dances during a combination barat/garba. They danced, drummed and sang all the way down Manakiki’s long driveway, with Taroon following on a white horse.
Here are just a few of my favorite images from the first half of their beautiful day.
Congratulations Ashley and Taroon! Stay tuned for more images for the second part of their gorgeous wedding day.
