Shannon and Mike married each other in an intimate ceremony at St. Raphael’s Parish in Bay Village.
When I arrived at Shannon’s parents’ house, she was helping her sister into the most beautiful black lace dress. Her vintage inspired scallop-edged veil was already in place, and she was ready for photos in the backyard. We slipped into the tall trees, and took some quietly romantic portraits. Then nieces and nephews began arriving. Her grandmother. More family. The smiles were contagious.
Mike was waiting at the church, looking calm and anxious at the same time. They both lit up when they saw each other in the aisle. After the ceremony, we returned to Huntington Beach for a some photos by the water, where the breeze coming off the lake really showed off that romantic veil. Then it was on to White Oaks Restaurant for an cosy reception with their families.
