I met C and G two years ago when I photographed their wedding. They were a joy to work with, so I was super happy when C reached out to me with the news that she is expecting a baby, and would like a maternity portrait. One of the best things about being a wedding photographer, is seeing clients return over the years to document the milestones in their lives. And creating a human is definitely a milestone. C and G’s baby will arrive this summer, so they stopped by the studio last weekend for some fine art maternity portraits. Being around two people in love is wonderful, and photographing the beauty, emotion, and connection between two people who are settling into the realization that they’ve created a human is it’s own special kind of awesome. My absolute favorite moment during this maternity session was when I was photographing C’s belly, and the baby kicked so hard, I could see it move!
